st\u00f8behovedkran) er en specialiseret l\u00f8fteanordning designet til h\u00e5ndtering og overf\u00f8rsel af smeltet metal. Det bruges hovedsageligt til opladning af konvertere med varmt metal, transport af \u00f8ser til raffineringsovne og levering af \u00f8ser til det roterende bord p\u00e5 en kontinuerlig st\u00f8bemaskine, og fuldf\u00f8rer n\u00f8gletrin i st\u00e5lfremstillingsprocessen. Den er bygget til de ekstreme forhold i smeltev\u00e6rksteder og er designet til at modst\u00e5 h\u00f8je temperaturer, kraftigt st\u00f8v og uds\u00e6ttelse for smeltet metal. Kranen best\u00e5r typisk af en hovedvogn, hj\u00e6lpevogn, brokonstruktion, k\u00f8remekanismer til b\u00e5de kran og vogn, et portalkrogl\u00f8ftesystem og et elektrisk styresystem. Den kan betjenes via en kabine eller fjernbetjening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L\u00f8behovedkranen er velegnet til arbejdsmilj\u00f8er fra -10 \u2103 til +60 \u2103, med en typisk arbejdspligt p\u00e5 A7 for at im\u00f8dekomme h\u00f8jfrekvente og tunge belastningskrav fra den metallurgiske industri.
