Articulating Jib Cranes Structural Composition
- Vertical support column: This is the primary support structure, which is usually anchored to the floor or a foundation. It can also be wall-mounted or attached to another structure.
- Articulated arm: The arm consists of two or more segments connected by pivot points or joints, enabling the arm to bend at different angles. This provides increased flexibility and allows the arm to navigate around obstacles in the work area.
- Trolley hoist or chain hoist: The hoist is mounted on the outermost segment of the articulated arm and is used for lifting, lowering, and moving loads. The hoist can be manual, electric, or pneumatic, depending on the application and required lifting capacity.
- Rotation: The base of the articulated jib crane allows for rotation, typically ranging from 180 to 360 degrees, depending on the design and workspace constraints.
