A customer from Thailand was comparing multiple suppliers and found that although our product quote under FOB terms was competitive, the advantage disappeared once sea freight was included.

Through further communication, we discovered that the customer’s concerns were not just about price, but also about logistics timeliness and risk control.

To address the customer’s concerns, we took the following actions:

  • Complete dynamic adjustment of trade terms (FOB→CIF) within 48 hours, incorporate sea freight into our cost system, and simultaneously optimize the packing plan to increase the loading rate by 15%.
  • Combined with the Songkran holiday in Thailand, coordinate the shipping company to enable priority channels to ensure that the goods arrive at the port 6 working days earlier than conventional transportation.

Results achieved:

  • Visualization of customer procurement costs reduced by 8.3%.
  • The supply chain cycle was shortened to 18 days (the industry average was 23 days).
