Wire luffing lattice boom cranes are usually used for fixed installation on drilling platforms, jack-up platforms, or drilling ships. It complies with the latest offshore rules and regulations and is based on a rotary base design. It is not the same as rack and pinion luffing. The lifting moment is between 4,000 and 30,000 kNm. The wire rope luffing truss boom crane is equipped with a built-in electro-hydraulic or diesel-hydraulic power set. These cranes are usually used for fixed installation and drilling platforms, jack-up platforms, and drilling ships, when the required extension distance exceeds 40-50 meters.
