DAFANGCRANE Supports the Successful Launch of the Long March-8A Y5 Rocket

Following its recent support of the successful launch of the Zhuque-3 Y1 launch vehicle, DAFANGCRANE once again contributed critical lifting support to China’s space program by ensuring the smooth launch of the Long March-8A Y5 rocket.

At 15:53 (Beijing Time) on December 6, 2025, China successfully launched the Long March-8A Y5 carrier rocket from the Hainan Commercial Space Launch Site. The mission accurately deployed the 14th group of low-Earth-orbit satellites for the satellite internet constellation into their designated orbit, marking a complete success.

During this mission, the rocket launch-dedicated crane installed on the Fixed Service Tower at Launch Position No. 1 played a key role in rocket hoisting operations. The crane was independently developed and manufactured by DAFANGCRANE. With precise and stable lifting performance, the equipment supported the rocket throughout system testing, inspection, propellant loading, and final launch preparation, providing reliable assurance for the entire launch process.

This is not the first time DAFANGCRANE equipment has been used in China’s aerospace missions. Previously, its lifting systems have supported multiple successful launches, including Zhuque-2 Y2 and its upgraded version, Long March-8 Y6, Long March-8A Y3 and Y4, as well as the recent Zhuque-3 Y1 mission. The rocket launch-dedicated crane developed by DAFANGCRANE features a tower-less horizontal slewing structure, enabling 360-degree full-range rotation. It integrates advanced functions such as anti-sway control, position memory, precise positioning, and 90-degree anchoring and locking. To further ensure operational safety and stability, the system is equipped with wind-resistant load moment protection, redundant mechanisms (primary and standby), wire-rope break protection, and emergency fault self-handling capabilities.
