Chifeng Zhongtang Iron & Steel is a leading steel manufacturer in northern China, specializing in high-temperature metallurgical production, including ironmaking, steelmaking, and continuous casting.

To support its long-term strategy of upgrading production efficiency and workplace safety, the company has been continuously introducing intelligent and green manufacturing technologies. One of its key modernization initiatives is optimizing molten metal handling in its steelmaking workshop—an operation that demands extreme reliability, precision, and safety.

Project Overview

To enhance molten metal handling efficiency and safety, Chifeng Zhongtang deployed our YZ160t Pollepel Bovenloopkraan, a heavy-duty solution purpose-built for high-temperature steelmaking environments.

The crane features a four-girder, four-rail dual-trolley structure, a 28 m span, and lifting heights of 22 m (main trolley) and 24 m (auxiliary trolley).

It is equipped with a hydraulic synchronous lifting system (5 lifting points, ≤0.1 mm synchronization accuracy) and supports dual operation modes: wireless remote control & operator cabin.

The entire system meets GB/T 3811 crane design standards and is certified to ISO 12482, ensuring safety and reliability in high-temperature, dusty environments typical of metallurgy.
